Data Deletion

You can delete your WIA account and its data at any time. Deletion is final after 30 days. How to delete in the app Profile › Settings › Your data and account › Delete account. Enter the 8-digit code we email you, then confirm. Can't sign in? Email support@getwia.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and reply within 7 days. What happens • Right away: your profile, posts, stories and comments are hidden from everyone, and you're signed out on all devices. • Within 30 days: signing in again cancels the deletion. • After 30 days: your account and personal data are permanently erased. • Up to 90 days: copies in backups expire on their own cycle. What may be kept Records we must keep by law, and records of safety actions against your account (up to 180 days, or longer if an investigation or the law requires it). Messages you sent stay in the other person's chat, shown as "Deleted account". Download first Settings › Your data and account › Download your data gives you a copy of everything before you delete.
